Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque Review

Hey guys! I'm very lucky to be able to share this blog post with you today!
I took part in a small contest on Kiehl's Singapore Instagram and managed to take home these 4 lovely masque to try.
p.s. check out their Instagram, they hold contests from time to time.

So today's review will be on a sleeping masque. A sleeping masque is basically the last step you take in your night time skincare routine. So here are my thoughts on it.

Selling in Kiehl's at $55, 125ml

-Helps to instantly to boost skin's ability to absorb and hold moisture for long-lasting hydration
-Glacial proteins and desert plant leaves skin smoother and softer, refreshed and supple by morning
-Amplifies the hydration provided by a daily moisturizer
-Silicone, Paraben, Fragrance, Colorant-free
-Replenishes Skin's Water Reserves for Long-Lasting Hydration and Healthy-Looking Skin

Apply a generous layer of the masque onto clean skin and leave on for 10 minutes.
Use a tissue/ towel to remove excess but leave a think layer on your skin through the night. Do not rinse off.

Due to the potency of this formula , we recommend using it no more than 1-2 times per week for optimal results.

*The purpose of removing the excess layer is to prevent your pillow sheets from getting stained by the masque. Hence if you are a careful sleeper, you can actually leave the masque on without removing the excess.

I am here writing this review with a heavy heart *inserts sad piano music*. Kiehl's is most definitely one the top luxury brands when it comes to good skincare products. However it is quite upsetting to say that this masque did absolutely nothing for me.
The first time I tried this masque, well it hurt. Like not the tingling sensation type but the 'ouch' it hurts type. *sobs*
Sad thing was after going through the pain of putting on the masque, it doesn't make much of a difference at all the next morning (Except a sticky film). And sadly no difference could be seen through the use of 1 month.
Hence I can only say, this is by far my least pleasant experience with a sleeping masque and for one which is at this price, it is definitely not worth it.

Pros
-Does not dry out my skin or cause it to be sensitive.

Cons
-Stings dry areas like crazy.
-Burns if you apply it on your super dry areas.
-Smells bad, sticky feeling
-Makes no difference on skin in the morning.
-Makes no difference on skin after 1 month of use.

All Skin Type: -Not Recommended-
*Read this: Do not buy this product, I would recommend you to try the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate instead.
*ps. not bashing over here because I love Kiehl's product*

Will I Repurchase
NO.
